Pierre-Luc Lapointe, P.Eng.

A graduate in mechanical engineering from Université Laval and a candidate for a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at ÉTS, Pierre-Luc has been the mechanical group manager at the Innovative Vehicle Institute since 2021. With more than 10 years of experience as a project manager in our team, he is recognized for his expertise in system modeling and simulation as well as in modeling and simulation using the finite element method. Multidisciplinary and determined, he has participated in the design of electric and hybrid powertrains, their control algorithms and the design of various battery systems. Pierre-Luc is involved in several projects, including the design of a complex mechatronic system.
