Le respect de la vie privée et de la confidentialité est une préoccupation importante pour l’Institut du véhicule innovant (« l’IVI »). Pour cette raison, l’IVI s’assure de mettre en place des mesures de contrôle efficaces visant à protéger la nature confidentielle des renseignements personnels sous sa garde.
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes how IVI collects, uses, discloses, and stores the personal information that you may provide when using the website of our project Flotte rechargeable – Machinerie lourde (the “Website”) or the services provided by IVI (the “Services”). It also informs you of IVI’s commitments regarding the management and protection of personal information.
By accessing this website or using IVI’s services, you consent to the collection, use, disclosure, and storage of your personal information in accordance with this Policy.

Purposes for which IVI collects personal information

Retention and security of personal information
Retention — The personal information IVI holds about you is recorded in an electronic file, the purpose of which is to enable you to benefit from IVI’s service offerings and related services.
Security — IVI implements appropriate and necessary security measures to ensure the confidentiality of the personal information in its possession and to protect it against loss, destruction, theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, reproduction, use, and modification. Personal information contained in files is therefore accessible only to individuals who need to access it in the course of their duties and who consult it only when necessary.
However, due to the nature of the Internet and the technologies associated with it, the risks related to security and confidentiality cannot be completely eliminated, and IVI cannot guarantee that your personal information will not be disclosed in a manner contrary to the provisions of this Policy.
To the extent possible, IVI ensures that the personal information contained in the file it holds about you is kept up to date before it is used to make a decision concerning you.
Right of access, rectification, and deletion

- Request access to your personal information and obtain information regarding IVI’s collection, use, and disclosure of such information;
- Request that your personal information be corrected or updated; and
- Request the deletion of your personal information.
Subject to certain exceptions provided by law, you may obtain reasonable access to the personal information that IVI holds about you, and you have the right to challenge the relevance and accuracy of such information and to have it amended as necessary. You can help ensure that the information concerning you remains accurate by notifying IVI of any required changes.
When you submit a request for the deletion of your personal information, it will be processed in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that IVI may nonetheless retain certain personal information in order to comply with its legal and regulatory obligations or if such information is still necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

Electronic communications — At any time, you may have your name removed from IVI’s promotional or marketing electronic communications lists by unsubscribing from email communications or by adjusting your preferences in your IVI account settings.
Cookies — You can block the use of cookies by enabling the appropriate setting in your browser.
Retention period of personal information
IVI will retain your personal information for as long as there is a legitimate need to do so, or for a period not exceeding what is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Certain information must be retained, including after you have ceased doing business with IVI, because, among other reasons, the law requires it. When such information is no longer necessary, it is destroyed. As part of the information destruction process, IVI follows strict rules and also ensures that unauthorized individuals are prevented from accessing it
Modification of the Policy
IVI may make changes or additions to this Policy at any time and therefore encourages you to review it periodically. If IVI makes changes to this Policy,
you will be notified by a change to the effective date of this Policy at the bottom of the page.
