Roll-out

3 phases

Information and mobilization

“Be ready for the shift to electric heavy-duty transport and come and test drive an electric truck”

The IVI will be holding of two (2) national events (Mirabel and Quebec – fall 2022) combined with a provincial tour (in 2023) to provide managers with key knowledge through workshops and training. During these events, participants will be able to test drive an electric trucks (Ride & Drive).

Analysis and preparation for action

“ The Innovative Vehicle Institute debunks the myths of electrification by analyzing the implementation potential of 30 Quebec companies ”

Between fall 2022 and the end of 2023, thirty (30) fleets will be supported over a period of 3 months each in order to perform the energy and operational analysis of a part of their current fleet. They will also receive a personalized action plan.

Experimentation and support

“IVI and five (5) Quebec fleets demonstrate that the electrification of heavy-duty transport is now a reality”

Five (5) participating businesses will move from theory to practice in 2023 by testing the advantages and challenges of electric heavy-duty truck in real-life conditions. These companies will have access to a free one-month electric truck loan including the appropriate charging infrastructure.

Project description and Registration

Phase 1 - Information and mobilization

“Prepare for the transition to electric heavy transport by joining us for a test drive of electric trucks.”

The initial phase of our project will bring together fleet managers of heavy vehicles from over 100 businesses during one-day events.

Two (2) national events, scheduled for fall 2022 in Montreal and Quebec, will be complemented by a tour across six (6) additional regions. This tour aims to assist managers by exploring clean energy trends for commercial vehicles and providing operational insights for vocational truck fleets. Participants will have the opportunity to test drive electric trucks.

Reasons to Attend:

These events cater to owners and operators of heavy vehicles seeking accurate, locally relevant, and unbiased information for the electrification of their fleets. It’s a chance to discover new ways to make your company more eco-friendly.

Our events offer knowledge and address key concerns such as charging infrastructure, operational issues, and questions related to vehicle acquisition.

Attendees can engage in discussions about their electrification plans with industry leaders and experience test drives of electric heavy-duty vehicles.

Cost: Free
